Dr. Tregoubov has been involved
in the organizing of several international youth environmental camps in Moscow,
Minsk and Kalinin in the CIS as well as in Costa Rica. He currently works as an
associate professor of economic and political geography at the Peoples'
Friendship University, where he earned both his master's degree and doctorate in
linguistics and economic planning. He received additional economic training in
1992 at the Stock Exchange Institute of Paris. He is a member of the Geographic
Society of the Russian Academy of Sciences and has participated in several
national and international conferences, including the All-Union Africanologists
Conference in Moscow in 1984. Prior to his current post, he served as financial
director for various Russian financial companies. Dr. Tregoubov is concerned
with the financing of international environmental projects. He speaks fluent
English, Spanish, French, and works part-time as a consultant on investments in
the Russian stock market and market of state bonds.
