Viatcheslav KABANOV is a research
associate at the Russian Academy of Sciences, which is part of the Central
Economics and Mathematics Institute in Moscow. He deals extensively with
information systems, remote sources of information, Internet navigation and
database systems. He has taken part in numerous scientific and environmental
conferences and internships both at home and abroad and has published articles
on information systems and related topics. In 1994, he participated in an
internship program on sustainable development at the Centre for Our Common
Future in Geneva, Switzerland, in which he worked at the United Nations
Convention for Climate Change (UNFCCC). In 1995, he participated in a summer
program for young scientists at the International Institute for Applied Systems
Analysis in Austria in which he worked on a project about international
environmental commitments. V. Kabanov has a master's degree in mechanics from
the mechanics and mathematics department of Moscow State University.
