Mrs. Olga N. Gershenzon is the
Marketing Director and co-owner of the Moscow-based R&D Center ScanEx (ScanEx),
where she is responsible for marketing and corporate development strategies and
activities. Also she is the General Director and co-founder of the NGO 'Transparent
World', non-profit organization, realizing non-commercial projects of ScanEx and
also General Director and co-founder of The Center for Development of
Information Technologies, realizing development of technologies for RS data and
their manufacturing application. Keenly interested in the application of remote
sensing technology to solve practical problems, she is an advocate of affordable,
decentralized solutions for receiving, processing and analyzing space
information. The member of GOFC/GOLD (Global Observation for Forest and Land
Cover Dynamics, http://www.fao.org/gtos/gofc-gold/index.html) Executive
Committee, associate of the LEAD program (Leadership for Environment and
Development, www.lead.org) and a member of the Steering Committees for Global
Forest Watch (www.globalforestwatch.org) and Forest Watch Russia, she is
particularly interested in problems connected with environmental monitoring with
use of the Earth remote sensed data.
